Imperial White Tea by The Tao of Tea

I can’t believe that I have waited so long to share this tea with you. Perhaps I was subconsciously trying to keep it to myself so that there would always be more for me (lol). The tea that I am reviewing today for Tea Review Tuesday is premium in quality and in taste. It is my favorite tea type and has an amazing effect! Take a little time to see why Imperial White Tea by The Tao of Tea should be your next best sip!

I love this tea!

The Company

We have talked about The Tao of Tea before in the past here at Tea End and we will continue to talk about this tea company in times to come because The Tao of Tea really does make some good teas and tea blends. I love how they focus on concentrated quality and that is why my favorite tea comes from their company.

I have reviewed two other teas by The Tao of Tea, there was Ginger Peach and Cape Town Rooibos. You can check out those reviews to learn a little more about the company itself.

The Hue

White tea is the least oxidized of all teas while green tea stands at second least oxidized, so, you can imagine the color that white tea has. It is a very soft yellow hue unique to its own. When over-steeped it can turn dark brown, but when steeped just right for the right amount of time then the tea has a translucent yellow color.

The Aroma

I love the way white tea smells! It is very nutty and almost smells like a mix between macadamia nuts and pecans. I love the strength that white tea has in its aroma. While green tea has a very herby, floral and light scent, white tea has more body in its scent and is weightier.

The Taste

Now this is the fun part! I adore the taste of white tea, it is such a heavy taste. The nutty flavors remain and couple well with sweetener. The sweetener of my choice is almost always honey and honey couples very well with the nutty notes in white tea.

Hands down my favorite tea and tea type!

The Feeling

I love white tea because of its taste and aroma, but adding the effect that it has on my body it is no wonder that I call it my favorite tea. White tea is the least oxidized out of all the tea types, which means that the tea retains its theanine. Theanine is an amino acid unique to the tea leaf, it promotes focus and calm. I experience a peaceful sensation when sipping white tea that I cannot receive from any other beverage. If I am anxious or stressed, all I have to do is sip on white tea and my worries fade away with every sip.

I could go on and on about white tea, but you will have to try it to know exactly what I am talking about. Don’t forget to order yours today directly through teaendblog.com!
