You know what time it is, it is Tea Review Tuesday and I have a tea that is "spring ready". Green and blueberries surely would make you reminisce of pic-nics in the park and so does every sip from this green tea by BENTLEY'S. The Boston Tea Company has done it again! You are sure to taste the plump and sweet sensation of every blueberry and feel absolutely energized by the green tea, so gather 'round, grab your tea cups and take a moment to review Wild Blueberry Green Tea by BENTLEY's!

Allow me to tell you a little about this tea company. BENTLEY'S is not the tea company itself, but a brand from the company named "The Boston Tea Company". You may have already heard of them since their beginnings are deeply rooted in tea history related to the States.
The Boston Tea Company can attribute its name to the founders who salvaged crates of undamaged tea from Boston Harbor in 1773. I found this to be very interesting and exciting considering that the Boston Tea Party is basically where Americans left off with tea, and perhaps the reason why we are just now really re-introducing ourselves to tea.
None the less, after 200 years, the company still makes American history by fusing "new world" and "old world" when it comes to tea culture. We thank you Boston Tea Company, for not letting those crates of tea go to waste, so that we may have actual tea parties and sip happily ever after!

The hue of this tea is quite normal for a green tea. Nothing seems to alter the hue too far from what green tea blends tend to look like. I would say, if anything, the blueberry essence may darken the tea a bit, but considering how vibrant blueberry hues are, the tea really does not seem to be altered much.
Now the taste tells an interesting story. As usual, I tried the tea without any honey for the first time. I found it to be slightly bitter and "oily". I did taste the blueberry and it was pleasant, but this taste was quickly over-shadowed by a bitter, oily flavor. The ingredients label on the back of the tea tin mentioned premium Chinese green tea and a "blueberry flavor". This tea alludes to be "all natural" therefore, I am more inclined to think that the essential oils or blueberry extract of some sort was used to flavor this tea and this is what the "oily" taste can be attributed to.
I added 2 teaspoons of honey and this only accentuated the oily, bitter but blue-berry sweet taste, I began to think that this tea would be next on my "Not My Cup of Tea" list...
I added 2 more teaspoons of honey with ice and this tea came alive! This tea does not taste good (in my opinion) warm or hot, but rather, chilled with a little more sweetener than usual and perhaps even a hint of lemon. When I sip this tea from here on out, this is exactly how I will sip it!
I think that my bias towards fruit flavored tea lead me on a dramatic tea melt-down of trying to find this tea's best sip, but if you are a fan of fruit teas and you don't mind that they may be flavored with essential oils, then you will not experience my crisis (lol).

Since this tea is best served chilled, I can so see myself filling up my large, Mason jar dispenser half-way with lemon slices and pouring this tea all in during a nice spring pic-nic or hot summer day play! Everyone is sure to enjoy the refreshing, fruit-sweet taste! Purchase this tea today!
