A little about the brand…

Yogi Tea has an authentic story of inspiration. Just like iron sharpens iron, human beings can sharpen the creative powers of one another. Yogi Tea really blossomed in 1984 when a group of Southern Californian students, who had the habit of sipping spiced tea given to them by their yoga teacher and holistic living advocate Yogi Bhajan, decided to take the grassroots endeavor into the business that is now Yogi.

For the love of spiced tea and their teacher and mentor, the students took the name Yogi and turned it into a lucrative business. We thank you Yogi for inspiring others so much that they wanted to bring this wonderful tea to our homes so that we too may share the love, the inspiration and the spiced tea experience!

Well oh my, doesn’t that smell lovely…

If Kava Stress Relief Herbal Tea by Yogi isn't spiced then I don't know what is! This organic herbal blend has a strong scent of cinnamon and barley malt. The smells are clearly fresh and original, not artificial.

Kava is known for a strong aroma that is either loved or hated, with Kava Stress Relief Herbal Tea however, the aroma of kava is subdued into a blend of spices and herbs.

The stevia most likely attributes to the scent following through the nostrils and landing on the upper part of the palette in a potent sweetness that lingers.

I can’t believe my eyes!

If you can imagine yourself sitting cozily in front of a wood burning fire and staring dazedly within, then you can imagine yourself staring into Kava Stress Relief Herbal Tea by Yogi. This tea's colors are so vibrant, captivating and warm, the same warmth you feel when you look into a golden fire.

One thing I like about herbal blends is that the hues in which they yield can be very pleasing and appeasing to the eye. The organic cinnamon bark, stevia leaf, ginger root and carob all give this tea a rich and deep color that is in itself warming and stress relieving.

The divine taste of tea…

Kava Stress Relief Herbal Tea by Yogi can be sipped without a sweetener. The stevia leaf lends enough sweetness but may be too sweet and lingering for some. Stevia is a leaf that gives off a sweet but also slightly tart taste. With every sip of this herbal tea you get a mouthful of stevia that ends at the back of the throat. If you are fond of teas that do not need sweetener, however, then sipping this tea may be very pleasant.

Once you recognize the strong taste of stevia you can't help to move along to the spices. This is the part that I enjoy most and undoubtedly the taste that Yogi's students enjoyed also! If Kava itself didn't lend relaxing capabilities then the spices would do the trick! So warm and inviting, you can't help but to be drawn in and calmed by them.

To be in a Victorian decorated room in a large tufted chair covered by a soft sheep-skin blanket, sitting in front of a warm and mesmerizing wood fire within a grand gold laced fireplace, novel in hand and a warmed soul. This is how I feel when I sip Kava Stress Relief Herbal Tea by Yogi.
