Bravo Taja-Tea! You did well by adding the gold of spices to the drink of the gods. Saffron is the most expensive spice there is and while tea already yields its own health benefits and is widely known for such, this particular tea blend is enhanced by the healing notions of saffron. A divine match made in heaven!
Taja-Tea is a simple tea company based in Los Angeles, California (a great place to grow tea!) specializing in tea infused with saffron. The tea company recognizes the good health attributes that saffron has, such as the ability to calm, sooth and henceforth, the capacity to alleviate depressive moods. SIDE NOTE: This is one of the reasons why I absolutely love tea! Such a healing and wonderfully balanced beverage!
As I was saying, this tea company has 7 other teas infused with saffron that I am sure to taste and test in the days to come. Currently, let’s talk about the Saffron with Mango Fusion Green Tea by Taja-Tea shall we…

The Aroma of this tea is very warm and pleasant. I am convinced that the saffron still contains the essence of the Rose of Saffron (Crocus Sativus Linnaeus, commonly known as the Rose of Saffron) it was picked from because the tea has a slight floral scent that is strengthened with the sweetness of the mango. Although the mango and floral scents are dominant, they do not remove the herb-y scent of the green tea leaf and therefore the tea smells very balanced and not overwhelming as if one were inhaling perfume.
Green tea is usually very light in color and at times seems almost pellucid, but when blended it can take on colors of other ingredients and its natural light green tea color can be pleasantly distorted.

Speaking of which, in this particular blend, it may be that the saffron and other herbs lend a darker color to this tea, or it could be the mango that makes the tea slightly darker than usual. None the less, the color is exquisite, as you can see for yourself and reflects the full life of all constituents that live in this tea blend.
I could go on and on for days about the aroma and hue of this saffron infused tea, but I could never win you over if I were not to speak of the taste! Usually, green tea is soft on the tongue, however when blended, the taste can be intensified. Interestingly enough, this tea is still very soft on the tongue leaving a slight mango after-taste. Although this tea is infused with mango, saffron and other herbs, the green tea leaf dominates in taste and will not be drowned out by the other elements.
I am not surprised that this tea had a very relaxing and calming effect. Again, saffron is known for its ability to calm one's mood and to bring balance. I felt very much centered after drinking this tea and I experienced a calm mood.
Well, that is Tea End folks! I would recommend this tea blend for those who enjoy fruity flavors in their tea tastes but yet a soothed, clean and balanced palate afterwards. If you would like to try this tea go ahead and purchase it now!
